On the 19^th of October PERIOD had the opportunity to participate to the session entitled “Way of future orbital and planetary robotics” as part of the 12^th EASN International Conference. The session was organized by our DFKI colleague Dr. Wiebke Brinkmann.

During the last week of September the team participated to the 3^rd European Operations Framework (EOF) Workshop (28-29 September 2022 at the DLR premises in Cologne).

A number of on-site displays were set-up and video presentations were shown with the aim to showcase the PERIOD outcomes.

A few steps before entering to the last semester of PERIOD, a short overview article about the project status has been included in the 2nd issue of 2022 of the EASN Newsletter.

Approaching the mid-term of the project’s lifetime and in preparation of the Preliminary Requirements Review (PRR), the PERIOD team published a short article about the current status and achievement.

On the 6^th and 7^th of October the PERIOD team participated to the 2^nd EOF Workshop. An overview presentation about the current developments and the planned next steps has been given by the coordinator, Dr. Stéphane Estable, and fruitful discussions took place in the context of the 4 breakout groups.

The PERIOD Coordinator, Dr. Stéphane Estable gave an overview presentation in the frame of the “Space Technologies” session of the 11^th EASN International Conference. The conference was held in virtual mode between the 1^st and the 3^rd of September 2021.

On the 26^th of August the PERIOD team hold the project’s Progress Meeting #1. With the participation of PERASPERA and EC representatives, the current status of the project has been discussed, the challenges have been analyzed and the next steps were properly defined.

The event is organized by the German Aerospace Center (DLR) , the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI), and the University of Strathclyde.

After reaching the first important milestone, the PERIOD team released an article summarizing the main achievements and outcomes of the first 4 months of the project implementation. The article is available here.
